How to use it
Pick a .docx file, then press Convert to PDF. A PDF with the same name downloads.
What you get
A clean, simple PDF on US Letter pages with 1-inch margins. It keeps:
- every paragraph of text
- headings, in bold
- bullet and numbered list items, with a bullet
- page breaks
It does not keep images, tables, colours, or the document's own fonts. Everything is set in Helvetica. For a PDF that looks exactly like your Word file, use File → Save as → PDF in Word itself, or File → Download → PDF in Google Docs.
Your files stay on your device
The Word file is opened inside your browser and the PDF is built there with the open-source pdf-lib library. Nothing is uploaded.
Common questions
Does it work with old .doc files?
No, only .docx. Open the .doc in Word or Google Docs and save it as .docx first.
Why did some characters turn into "?"
The built-in PDF font covers English and most Western European letters, including ñ and accents. It cannot show some symbols, such as the peso sign ₱, emoji or non-Latin scripts. The page tells you how many were replaced. Write "PHP" instead of ₱ if it matters.
