How to use it
Type a distance in miles to see kilometres, or in kilometres to see miles.
The formula
- kilometres = miles × 1.609344
- miles = kilometres ÷ 1.609344 (about km × 0.6214)
Example: 10 miles × 1.609344 = 16.09 km.
A quick way in your head: multiply miles by 8, then divide by 5. 10 miles × 8 ÷ 5 = 16 km.
