The formula
- inches = centimetres ÷ 2.54
- centimetres = inches × 2.54
The inch is defined as exactly 2.54 cm, so this is exact.
Example: 30 cm ÷ 2.54 = 11.81 in.

In the Philippines, "long" usually means 8.5 by 13 inches. The US Legal size is 8.5 by 14 inches, so the two are not the same.
