How to use it
Type a weight in kilograms to see it in pounds, or type pounds to see kilograms. Both boxes update each other.
The formula
- pounds = kilograms ÷ 0.45359237 (about kg × 2.2046)
- kilograms = pounds × 0.45359237
Example: 70 kg ÷ 0.45359237 = 154.32 lb.
A quick way in your head: double the kilograms, then add 10%. 70 × 2 = 140, plus 14 = 154.

Common questions
Is a kilo the same as a kilogram?
Yes. "Kilo" is short for kilogram. At the palengke, "isang kilo" means 1 kg, which is about 2.2 pounds.
How many pounds is a balikbayan box weight limit?
It depends on the shipper and the box size, and many price by box size rather than weight. Check with your forwarder.
