How to use it
Enter your monthly salary. The tool shows what is taken from your pay for SSS, PhilHealth and Pag-IBIG, what your employer pays on top, and the amount per payday if you are paid twice a month.
The formula
SSS is 15% of your Monthly Salary Credit (MSC): 5% from you and 10% from your employer. The MSC is your salary rounded to the nearest ₱500, from ₱5,000 up to ₱35,000. Your employer also pays Employees' Compensation (EC): ₱10 when the MSC is below ₱15,000, and ₱30 from it.
PhilHealth is 5% of your monthly basic salary, split evenly between you and your employer. The salary used is at least ₱10,000 and at most ₱100,000.
Pag-IBIG is 2% each from you and your employer, on salary up to ₱10,000. So each pays at most ₱200. At ₱1,500 a month or less, your share is 1%.
Example: ₱25,000 a month.
- SSS: MSC ₱25,000. You pay ₱1,250; your employer pays ₱2,500 plus ₱30 EC.
- PhilHealth: 5% of ₱25,000 is ₱1,250, so ₱625 each.
- Pag-IBIG: 2% of ₱10,000 is ₱200 each.
- You pay ₱2,075 a month, or ₱1,037.50 each payday. Your employer pays ₱3,355.
Common questions
Are these the 2026 rates?
Yes. SSS uses the schedule in force since January 2025 (unchanged for 2026), PhilHealth the 5% rate under the Universal Health Care Act, and Pag-IBIG the ₱10,000 salary cap in force since February 2024.
What is the SSS MPF?
The part of your MSC over ₱20,000 goes to the Mandatory Provident Fund, a savings account in your name inside SSS. It is part of the same 15%, not an extra charge.
Why is my payslip a little different?
Employers can base SSS on your total pay, and PhilHealth only on your basic salary. If you have allowances or overtime, the two can use different amounts. Some employers also take the whole month's contributions from one payday instead of splitting them.
I'm self-employed or a freelancer. What do I pay?
You pay both shares yourself: the full 15% for SSS and the full 5% for PhilHealth. There is no EC. Pag-IBIG sets its own amount for self-employed members, so this tool does not cover it.
Is income tax included?
No. Withholding tax is worked out on your pay after these contributions are taken off.
